Street Photography without People

University of San Carlos (U.S.C.) in Cebu City is considered as the oldest school in the country and in Asia.

Though Street photography evokes more meaning, message and emotion with people in it. There's a pleasure of photographing objects, symbols, lighting...etc, street photograph without people is difficult, it can be interpreted in different ways or worse it can be boring and plain to other people. So, to truly capture a photo without people it should evoke some kind of emotion to the viewer, either joy or pain, or whatever.

Well, what does this picture educe?

joy in their eyes

the best street photo is when you interact with your subject, a simple gesture of smile and asking them what they are doing. Yes, most of them are shy, but when they see the camera, there's a sense of pride in their eyes, like something "ah, they are interested in what im doing.."

Xebu X: Cebu Street Photography

this is where the story begun.  landmark was repeatedly documented, like if your in Cebu it's a must to visit and take snapshot of this famous structure. but me, i want to challenge myself how am i gonna interpret it differently, so, i walked outside and peeked my lens against the railings, position the cross like a voyeur looking for something interesting.
